Strength Without Punishment

At Fortitude Training, I help adults build real strength without punishing their bodies. I work with people who want to improve strength, mobility, and confidence, especially those managing joint pain, past injuries, or age-related strength loss.

My training focuses on safe, structured progress that respects how your body actually moves and recovers. While some muscle soreness is a normal part of getting stronger, I avoid painful or aggressive movements and design programs to minimize the risk of injury or re-injury.

This is personal training for people who want to feel better, move better, and stay active for life without high-intensity pressure, extreme workouts, or fitness culture that doesn’t fit who they are.

How We’ll Work Together

Start with a conversation

Four thought bubbles arranged vertically, outlined in brown, overlapping slightly.

We begin with a one on one conversation about your goals, movement history, and any concerns around pain or injury so your training starts from a place of safety and understanding.

Build a plan around you

I create a personalized training plan focused on building strength, improving mobility, and making steady, sustainable progress. Every session is guided and adjusted based on how your body feels and responds, with an emphasis on good movement, proper form, and minimizing the risk of injury or re-injury.

The goal is to help you feel stronger, move better, and feel confident in your body for the long term, not to push you through extreme workouts or short-term fitness programs that don’t fit your life.

The Person Behind the Program

Hi, I’m Ethan. I'm a NASM-certified personal trainer and Precision Nutrition Level 1 coach based in Lexington, Kentucky. I’m a Lexington native, and I’ve always had a deep interest in wellness and in how the body moves, adapts, and stays healthy over time. For the past five years, I’ve worked as a personal trainer helping adults build strength, improve mobility, and feel more confident in their bodies in a way that’s supportive, inclusive, and sustainable.

Much of my education and training has been centered around working with people in pain, people managing chronic conditions or past injuries, and people who feel unsure, intimidated, or even afraid to start training. Most of the clients I work with are not here to chase extreme fitness goals, they’re here to feel better, move more comfortably, and build a healthy, active lifestyle that actually fits their lives.

My training philosophy is simple: movement should feel controlled, supportive, and purposeful. I prioritize form over weight, how your body feels over how intense a workout looks, and exercises that carry over into everyday life, things like lifting, reaching, walking, and staying steady and mobile as you move through your day.

Whether you’re brand new to training, returning after time away, or working around pain or limitations, I’ll meet you where you are and help you move forward with clarity, confidence, and care.
